Oil extraction: External corrosion protection for columns and injection pipes

The project was developed in Beibu Gulf, China. A number of columns and water injection pipeline from the oil platform were protected externally with product CERAMIC-POLYMER SF / LF-SRB . Why this product? It is highly resistant to salt water and is an effective solution for increased durability and corrosion protection equipment. Therefore:

Project no.1

Objectiv: External coating of numerous riser pipes, 5 jackets -for connected wellhead platforms WZ 12-2 and WZ 11-4, Beibu Gulf, China.

Corrosion protection product CERAMIC POLYMER SF / LF SRB was applied to the exterior surface of a series of pipes for oil. After proper preparation of the surface (SA 2.5), the product was applied by airless spray product, with a thickness of 600 μm.

CERAMIC-POLYMER SF / LF-SRB ensure long lasting corrosion protection against aggressive factors of environment offshore. The product has undergone a series of tests according to ISO 20340 and offshore industry specific corrosion classes (DIN EN ISO 12944-2, class C5-M and IM1-3

Project no.2

Objective: external corrosion protection for water Injection pipelines Platform-WZ 12-1, Weizhou Island, Beibu Gulf, China.

The equipment, used for injecting water,  was protected on the exterior surface with CERAMIC-POLYMER SF / LF-SRB. The corrosion protection system was applied in two layers (thickness of 500 micrometre) by airless spraying.
