A few things about the project

It was developed in Germany in a company that manufactures filtration devices and containers for water treatment sector and large metal structures. The project involved the application of a corrosion protection system for water treatment in a parking garage in Berlin.

The solution?

The containers were protected with PROGUARD CN 200. The corrosion protection solution was identified after a comprehensive analysis of environmental factors.

Why PROGUARD CN 200?

The product provides excellent chemical resistance and temperature stability. Besides these properties, it shows very good resistance to abrasion.

Typically, granular carbon is used to purify the water. The sharpe-edged material used affects conventional protections by constant friction.

In Germany, Water Treatment Ordinance prohibits the discharge of toxic substances into the public sewer system. Service water from the garage, contaminated with oil and chemical detergents should not reach the outflow without filtering. Thus, a collection container and two activated carbon filters were installed for water decontamination processe.

Product requirements: High chemical and abrasion resistances

Coating product: PROGUARD CN 200

Besides excellent physical properties, the product is very easy to apply. After blasting, the product is applied directly on the metal structure by airless spray. The ceramic of PROGUARD CN 200 provides a uniform and immaculate surface. Using a single layer of 500 micrometre provides long-lasting service life of the containers.
