Aggressive elements present in the environment lead to gradual degradation of materials. For personnel safety and to reduce maintenance costs, it is necessary to apply a corrosion protection system. This measure will increase the durability of equipment. Next, two important aspets of the project :

Corrosion protection application process

A team of five people was responsible for the application of a corrosion protection system for a dam (Curzdrioara). In what following lines, you can see images connected to the process. Therefore:

Step 1: First of all, the surface was cleaned with a pressure pump

Step 2: The surface was sandblasted until reaching the optimal degree of roughness. As blasted material was used a quartz sand

Step 3: A primer was applied

Step 4: The paint was applied and the process ended with the visual inspection of the surface (in the final phase. Visual inspection was performed after each stage of the application process)
