Corrosion protection: anti-acid plating with anti-acid tiles, anti-acid mortar and rubber lining

 

Long-term corrosion protection

 

For the optimum corrosion protection of concrete tank, the surface was coated with special materials. To obtain the best results and outstanding corrosion resistance, the technical solution was composed of: 

 

·         special primer for rubber-concrete

·         adhesive system for rubber lining 

·         rubber lining (Chemoline product), with 10 – 20 mm thickness

·         mortar (Chemokitt FU product)

·         anti-acid tiles - 240x115x30 mm

 

 

Operations

 

Before starting the operations, the entire surface was inspected visually for:

 

• full coverage of the surface
• for visible defects (bubbles, hangings, irregularities, cracks or mechanical damage)
• correct joint achievement
• defects in the concrete surface areas were meaningful and were professionally repaired
• grinding / sweep blasting of the surface with grinder / blasting station and vacuuming dust

 

In the second phase, it began the process of anti-acid plating with:

 

1. a layer of corrosion protection product consisting of epoxy putty, rubber lining
2. a layer of brick and special mortar

After completing the process, the surface was inspected and the Quality Plan was released.
