Concrete corrosion protection and Corrosion Inhibitor
Corrosion surface treatment is essential to ensure longevity of metallic materials and concrete, including when it comes to fertilizer industry or areas of agricultural production and livestock (corrosion protection in agriculture). Due to its moisture and oxygen, combined direct chemical attack (acid or alkaline nature), normal or galvanized metal structures may suffer serious alterations in time, leading to the destruction of agricultural facilities and equipment.
Corrosion protection systems based on ceramic polymers are applied in agriculture in complex systems against corrosion due to chemical resistance and resistance to extreme abrasion. The physical properties of polymer-based ceramic coatings ensure durability of metal surfaces regardless of the agricultural sector or branch to which they apply.
Fermentation tanks, septic tanks, tanks, silos for grain storage, tanks for storing biogas, sludge sedimentation basins for wastewater, in agriculture are all constantly exposed to chemical attack (acids or bases) of substances stored. 1-2 cm of erosion and extreme corrosion damage on all concrete or steel components are measured every year, in the absence of adequate corrosion protection.
3 rooms, used in agriculture, have been recently covered with ProGuard CN 1-M product.
Before applying polymer concrete surface was cleaned with precision. Bumps and holes were leveled with concrete filling. The next step was to blast the area to prepare the concrete for coating application. Concrete walls and ceilings were covered directly with ProGuard CN-1M. If it is applied by airless spray method, it is not necessary to apply a primer. Were applied two coats of 400 sm each.
Concrete floors can be covered easily with conventional enforcement tools such as a roller. For smoothing and sealing areas of the floor was used a primer CP-Synthofloor BETA 8016. Because treatment with spiked roller was obtained a ventilated and non-porous surface. Concrete surface was completely covered after 48 hours and ready to use.
