Corrosion protection for concrete. Find out how to increase durability!
Corrosion protection for waste water plant
The project consisted in applying a corrosion protection system based on ceramic polymer in a water treatment stations. Due to constant exposure to waste water and polluted atmosphere, the concrete showed deep erosion with a depth of up to 10 cm. Steel reinforcement has been exposed in several areas, and this has led to corrosion.

The first phase
Weathered surfaces of concrete were removed and cracks were sealed. After this process has been completed, the surface was sandblasted and the erosion problems were solved.
Product application
The process started with the preparation of the basin inner surface. To obtain a smooth surface, CP-Synthofloor Beta 8016 product was applied. After the surface has dried, it was polished properly for the primer application.
To obtain the best results, additional sealing of the edges of the pool was applied The pool bottom was leveled and milled afterwards. Then subsequently applied Sythofloor Beta CP-8016 product.
After the primer was dried
The product Proguard CN 200 was applied in two layers. The first layer is the lighted gray it and the second in dark gray colour, as you see in the following images.

For treatment of exterior walls it was developed a process similar to the one above.
About the used products
CP-Synthofloor Beta 8016 has a medium viscosity and can be applied with conventional equipment. Provides chemical resistance and abrasion resistance, due to specific fillers.
Proguard CN 200 is a part of premium product range. It`s solvent-free and provide chemical resistance, even at process temperatures up to 150 ° C. An effective solution for a variety of projects in water treatment plants.
