Test procedures in accordance with ISO 20340, cycles of 25 weeks (6 months), following the next model:

· 3 days of simulated weathering, UV radiation and evaporating water every 4 hours

· 3 days of continuous spray of salt-based spray (5% solution based on sodium chloride) at a temperature of 35 ° C

· 1 day the product is exposed to extreme thermal shock, placement in a room with a temperature of -20 ° C

Only very resistant products can meet this requirement. "Simulation sea conditions" with UV radiation, permanent humidity and spraying a salt based substances keep the material specifications. The main challenge is represented by extreme thermal shock. The remaining water freezes inside the product tested. In most cases, this leads to detachment of the edge protection.
