Lithuanian port-city of Klaipeda is among the most important commercial ports in the Baltic Sea. In 2013, over 33 million tons of goods were loaded. Oil trade in the region is enormous. The previous year, more than 7 tonnes, mostly from Russian refineries were stored or exported worldwide.

In the port city of Klaipeda are many tank for storage oil and hydrocarbon fluids. In the second part of 2013, one of these tanks were built. The beams of the roof structure and the interior thereof were treated with a high-quality brand corrosion protection coating systems from Ceramic Polymer.

"Ceramic-Polymer SF / LF" was applied in two layers, 400 μm each, to the support of the roof construction. This corrosion protection system does not contain solvents and provides excellent corrosion resistance.

"Ceramic-Polymer SF / LF" meets the requirements of ISO 20340 standard for offshore application. It also passed the resistance test, 10,000 hours in salt spray according to DIN ISO 9227: 2006-10 standards. These qualifications are very important, especially for the corrosion protection application in close proximity to the sea.

ProGuard CN 100: This corrosion protection coating system with electrostatic dissipation capacity, was designed specifically for the storage of highly flammable substances.

When oxygen is present during electrostatic charging, explosive reactions can occur in the vapor phase at the top of the container. With the addition of nano-carbon fibers, it facilitates dissipation of electrical charge and, thus, prevent dangerous reactions after storage fluids.

In addition, ProGuard CN 100 provides excellent resistance to various chemicals, and resistance to acids, alkaline solutions Ph values of 4-11.

Metal surfaces of the roof and its walls were protected even with a permanent operating temperature of up to 80 ° C.
